247Monitor

247Monitor vs Site24x7

Site24x7 does everything — uptime, APM, infrastructure, network, logs — and prices it the everything way: monthly credit quotas, à-la-carte add-ons, and 30-second checks gated to four-figure Enterprise tiers. 247Monitor does monitoring, flat, with sub-minute checks from £9.

Site24x7 (from Zoho's ManageEngine) is an all-in-one console — website monitoring beside server agents, network-device monitoring, APM, cloud and log management — and that breadth is the reason the pricing reads like a tax return. Plans bundle monthly quotas of 'basic', 'advanced' and 'network' monitors that refill but don't roll over, and you patch the gaps with à-la-carte add-ons.

The sting is in the fast checks: the cheap ~$9 Web Uptime plan polls every minute, and 30- or 10-second intervals are reserved for Enterprise tiers running into the hundreds of dollars a month. 247Monitor charges £9 for 30-second checks, a real-browser journey and a status page — and the price on the page is the price you pay.

The case for switching

Why teams pick 247Monitor over Site24x7

Fast checks without the Enterprise invoice

30-second monitoring is the headline feature of monitoring, and Site24x7 reserves it for tiers costing hundreds a month. Ours is £9. When detection speed is the whole point, paying a tenth as much for it matters.

Flat pricing instead of a credit economy

Site24x7's monthly quotas refill but don't roll over, and you patch the gaps with add-ons — reviewers consistently call the bill hard to predict. Our four plans print every limit; the pricing page is the whole contract.

The status page isn't a second subscription

StatusIQ is a separate product that charges per page beyond a single free one. Ours is included on every plan — free included — with subscribers and incident updates built in.

Browser journeys at the entry tier

Site24x7 puts real-browser transaction monitoring on the ~$36 Web Perf plan. Our £9 Starter includes a scripted Chromium journey with 1,000 runs a month and full failure forensics — screenshot, console logs, downloadable trace.

FAQ

Switching questions

Is 247Monitor cheaper than Site24x7?

For the monitoring most teams actually buy, yes — and more predictably. Site24x7's ~$9 plan checks every minute; matching our 30-second checks means jumping to an Enterprise tier. Our £9 Starter includes 30-second checks, a browser journey and a status page, with no credit quotas to manage.

Does 247Monitor do server and network monitoring like Site24x7?

Server monitoring, yes — a lightweight agent reports CPU, memory, disk and network from your Linux and Windows hosts, with threshold and host-down alerts, from the free plan up. Network-device monitoring (SNMP), APM and log management we leave to a dedicated infrastructure platform. We cover the service from the outside and the box it runs on; Site24x7 goes wider across the whole estate.

How hard is it to migrate from Site24x7?

Uptime, port, ping, DNS, SSL and keyword checks map across directly, and most teams recreate them in under an hour. The pleasant surprise is the invoice: no more quota top-ups, and the status page stops being a separate line item.

Run both for a week. Keep the one that wakes you up correctly.

Our free plan doesn't expire, so the comparison costs you nothing but ten minutes of setup.
